A Dental Practice That Takes Sleep Seriously
At Epic Dentistry, we recognize that the mouth plays a central role in airway health and sleep quality. That’s why we take a proactive, patient-centered approach to uncovering the root cause of your sleep concerns—whether it's snoring, teeth grinding, fatigue, or undiagnosed sleep apnea.
We offer convenient at-home sleep studies as a first step. Once results are in, Dr. Caulfield will walk you through what they mean and discuss personalized treatment options. Depending on your needs, this could include:
- Custom night guards
- Oral appliance therapy
- Mandibular advancement devices like Vivos®
Collaborative, Whole Health Care
Unlike most general dentists, Dr. Caulfield sees sleep-related concerns every day and partners closely with medical providers to offer comprehensive, integrated care. Our goal is to help you sleep deeper, breathe easier, and live better—starting right here in the dental chair.
Signs of Sleep Dysfunction
- Loud or frequent snoring
- Choking or gasping sounds
- Daytime sleepiness or fatigue
- Insomnia
- Morning headaches
- Nocturia (waking during the night to go to the bathroom)
- Difficulty concentrating
The most common symptom of sleep apnea is snoring. However, not everyone who snores has sleep apnea. Snoring is likely to be a sign of sleep apnea when it is followed by silent breathing pauses and choking or gasping sounds.
